Nova's father, Merlin, is the father of several Silverwood finalists and was winner of the Stud Dog trophy at the 2005 BTCA National Speciality.  

Both were bred by Carolyn and David Alexander of Brigadoon Bull Terriers, winners of the 2005 Bull Terrier Club of America AKC Breeder's Cup.
